Tinea Treatment

  1. Any break or cracks in the skin should be treated first with an antiseptic cream or liquid initially to prevent any secondary bacterial infection.
  2. Following step 1, you can then commence the use of a fungicidal agent which helps to reduce the infection to a normal level. Fungi normally live on our skin. Unfortunately, they sometimes flourish and this excessive growth is what needs to be reduced back down to normal levels.
  3. This also means that tinea treatment may be needed on a regular basis as it tends to occur with certain skin types. Some people are more prone to tinea than others.
